The Political & The Personal  

If you’ve ever taken an introductory course in political theory, you might recognize the pattern in the themes we select. If not, don’t worry—just keep reading. All of our themes are easily discussed on a personal level, allowing us to explore them through non-academic conversations. Simultaneously, these themes have important implications for the political arena on a global scale. How people engage with ideas such as: the self, truth, morality, and freedom in their daily lives are the details that dictate the whole. 

If we want a stable society that enables people to lead fulfilling lives, we need to understand what makes us who we are. 

If we want an informed populace, then we need to be honest about how we measure and value truth. 

If we want justice, then we need to have an understanding of our own sense of morality.If we want to understand our world, we need to pay attention to the details, we need to pay attention to the minutiae.
