Question: What makes you, you?
Answer: I honestly think that my perception of myself is that it’s never what I appear from the outside. Fragile is the title you can describe me. I fear failure a lot, I demand a lot of myself. I require myself to be a successful and productive person from inside but outside-me is a person who wants to follow her passions and all the happy little things.
Question: If you have a conception of yourself, is it stable? Did you always have an understanding of yourself?
Answer: It’s never stable. I’d like to agree that I do understand myself but most times it’s all just super blurry and dark inside my head. However, with all the chaos in life, I will always love this struggle of me with myself.
Question: What is the ratio of internal and external factors that play into your self-perception? What are some of the most important factors?
Answer: External factors play a huge role in my self-perception. Let’s give it 9/10. My family and my partner contribute towards my success in life. I think that it’s great to have my own internal factors such as my bubbly and strong characteristics, they do help too but I do not see myself growing without the people whom I love supporting and close to me. I love to give credits to my people but I do not do that to myself.
Question: If you feel like you don’t have a sense of self, how does that impact your life?
Answer: That wouldn’t make me myself then. I think I would be really clumsy, unable to communicate very well, anxious, and all the downsides of my life.
Question: What would make you not you?
Answer: Having to bump and communicate with misogynistic people. My mental state. Waking up in the morning without a cup of coffee.
